About Nord Anglia Chinese International School Shanghai (NACISS)
Founded in September 2016, Nord Anglia Chinese International School Shanghai (NACISS) offers students a creative, challenging and rewarding learning experience. Students aged 6 to 18 years old are welcomed into our progressive and internationally minded school community. We offer a distinctive bilingual, blended learning programme leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Located in the Minhang District of Shanghai, the school has world class facilities that complement our innovative approach.

About the role
You will be an effective professional who will deliver the vision and ethos of the school which is centered on learning in a bilingual environment through a blended curriculum, offering students an international mindset whilst still nurturing pride and respect for their own culture and traditions.
We will look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where students feel confident to be socially, academically and personally ambitious. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion. You will be a collaborative practitioner and one that enjoys the benefits of working in a bilingual and multicultural setting where innovative lesson design and team teaching is encouraged.
All international Primary teachers must be confident in their role as language facilitators in the school’s bilingual learning environment, experience of delivering a thematic learning programme would be an advantage. A broader knowledge of the overall IB philosophy would be desirable but not essential.
Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international, multicultural environment, you will bring a degree, a recognised teaching qualification and a minimum of two years teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practice to raise achievement.
Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students.
You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions of living and working in China.
