The Sheffield Private School opened in September 2004 and has made significant progress both in terms of numbers and educational attainment.
Delivering the national curriculum for England from the foundation stage through to Key Stage 5 the school offers IGCSE examinations through the University of Cambridge in years 10 and 11 and AS and A2 examinations in years 12 and 13. As is required by the national curriculum for England teachers engage in continuous assessment to ensure progress is being made by every student.
The Sheffield Private School is a British Curriculum School located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. First opened in 2004, the school provides an education to around 1500 students aged 3-18, and is co-educational. We have over 65 nationalities reflecting its international context.
The Sheffield Private School employs fully qualified staff, with new applicants being expected to hold prior experience of teaching in their preferred subjects, as well as appropriate and recognized UK educational qualifications. The school offers an inclusive curriculum, suitable for learners of all types and abilities. We are very proud to announce the best ever IGCSE results at TSPS in August 2019 in all core subjects i.e. Math 84%, Physics 90% and Biology 93% A*- B grade. This rates us as outstanding in these subjects based on KHDA indicators. Health and safety across the school is rated as OUTSTANDING. Primary SATS results are consistently well above the English National Average in both end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Our approach to education
Not only do we focus on academics, our sports achievements have been remarkable too. TSPS has been crowned the U16 DASSA Champions 2018-19, remaining unbeaten against premium schools in Dubai. Winning the EISSA Swimming Gala U14 and U12 in 2018-19 is another feather in our cap. The school is continually improving and working for higher standards of achievement. The school also runs a dedicated enrichment programme, consisting of various recreational and academic clubs and activities to further students’ understanding of a subject area and aid their personal development.
