The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Mandarin across Key Stages 3–4 (with potential for Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified applicants)
• Inspire students of varying language backgrounds and abilities
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and professional faculty
• Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular involvement

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a teacher who:

• Holds a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Has a degree in Mandarin / Chinese or a related subject
• Is a native or near-native Mandarin speaker
• Has experience teaching Mandarin in a British or international curriculum (UK experience preferred)
• Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and strong subject knowledge
• Is committed to high standards, safeguarding, and continuous professional development
• Has previous international teaching experience (desirable but not essential)
