The School
Sutton Valence School, a leading English co-educational independent day and boarding school, in association with Hopeland International Kindergarten Group, a successful,
Chinese-owned independent education provider, accommodates co-educational, dual curriculum day School for 5-14 year-olds in Tianjin.
 

The School is highly successful and expanding rapidly. It now requires a full-time Physical Education Teacher, to work in this first-class environment. The School offers a dual
curriculum (English and Chinese) with subjects taught in both languages - with the pupils integrated for many activities and community events.
The School aims to inspire its students, and enhance their education and cultural understanding. We want to prepare them for the opportunities available in a highly
connected world. This global outlook is expressed in the ethos of the four-journey, which is promoted by Sutton Valence school. We are also a COBIS member school.
 

Four Journeys
At HIKSVS International Bilingual School, every child undertakes ‘Four Journeys’ to develop every aspect of their learning and character. Like Sutton Valence School, HIKSVS has the
clearly articulated Sutton Valence ethos and educational philosophy running throughout the school.
 

Academic: Pupils enjoy learning and are taught by well-qualified, dedicated and experienced teaching staff with a vibrant, diverse and challenging curriculum. Teachers will
get to know each child within their care and school community and will be able identify their strengths and help children use their confidence to strengthen their weaknesses.
 

Enrichment: Pupils will be able to investigate and explore different enrichments activities, as part of a well-structured and extensive ECA programme, so they can develop a range of
different skill sets. This also gives children the opportunities to explore areas they are unfamiliar with and develop different passions and a love of lifelong learning.
 

Community: Our school is a family where we care for everyone and each individual is cherished. Pupils are encouraged to take responsibility for each other – this is developed
within each class, House and wider school community.

We are seeking an innovative and outstanding KS2 Teacher from August 2024. You will be required to teach classes within KS2 in the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science,
Humanities and PSHE. This role offers excellent opportunities for the right candidate to work within a successful school. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to
inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a willingness to share best practice with colleagues within the department.
 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who:
 

• Has at least 2 years teaching experience within the UK.
• Has a degree in Education or PGCE.
• Has a thirst for learning and is passionate about Primary Education and keen to inspire students, to develop a positive attitudes and high levels of engagement, enabling students to achieve their best.
• Has the ability to adapt and bring change, to ensure the best possible outcome for our students.
• Is dynamic, innovative and inspirational teacher.
• Is keen to be part of an expanding team and is motivated to engage in fully in classes and our extensive extra-curricular programme.
• Is an expert in their subject specialism.
• Has the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age range.
• Is committed to raising standards of attainment and developing the success of the department.
• Enjoys working as a part of a team and has a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Sets high expectations of themselves and their students.
