The College is currently at its license capacity of 700 students operating three-form entry from Foundation Stage to Year 9 and two-form entry in Years 10-13. Teaching Role - Lead Basketball and Volleyball Coach / PE Teacher

Responsible to - Head of PE and Head of Senior School

Responsible for - All students as allocated, both academically and pastorally

Sport is very important to us with every student participating through our curriculum and activity programme. As a non-negotiable pledge, we offer a comprehensive programme of competitive and participatory sport for beginner to elite level students from Year 4 - 13 in football, swimming and basketball. We extend this to volleyball from Year 8. Under Year 4, students have opportunities to learn games and co-ordination through our curriculum and clubs in less competitive formats. Every student up to Year 9 swims each week as part of the curriculum.

The school has its own 25m pool, full court gymnasium, 1/2 field astro and various other outdoor sports facilities. The school is in south central Seoul near the Han River with access to nearby community sports facilities such as a full size football astro for 11-a-side senior school matches, tennis, badminton, climbing, gym, squash, running and cycling. Seoul has plentiful opportunities for spectating professional sport e.g. thriving baseball, basketball, volleyball, football and golf national and international competition. The school runs a progressive outdoor activities programme from Year 1 to Year 12, featuring adventurous journeys and service in the Senior School, all included within school fees.

Applicants should be eligible for a work visa by either possessing a degree and at least two years international school teaching experience, or a degree and qualified teaching status. The successful candidate will lead Basketball and Volleyball coaching at our school, and should expect to be involved in competitive sports for half the Saturdays during the school year and a good number of days of training after school. International travel in Asia with teams will also be a feature of the job.
