At the British Council Pakistan, we’re looking for people who wish to help young people change their lives, inspire hope and connect with opportunity. By joining as Director of EES, you’ll be a key part of our mission to widen the knowledge and use of the English language around the world – so you will need to have:
English at CEFR C2 and TEFLQ (Urdu also desirable)
Postgraduate degree in relevant subject or over 5 years’ experience in a relevant sector
A desire and ability to bring education and policy change in a complex environment
Understanding of national education policy, systems and structures
Experience of managing teacher education programmes and related research and evaluation
Demonstrable evidence on leading education strategy, process and standards implementation
As well as the above, you will need to demonstrate key stakeholder management, strong influencing techniques, project analysis and forecasting, so we can effectively create and deliver large-scale schools sector projects and programmes.
This is a senior management position that will also play a key role in both the wider Pakistan leadership team and the EES South Asia regional leadership team.
