with both pastoral care and co-curricular activity within the school. Previous overseas experience is not
essential. However, the desire to work in a genuinely international community is.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Accountable to : Head of Business Faculty

SALARY
The salary is calculated according to experience and qualifications, based on the JIS Teaching Scale.
This is very generous. The salary is paid tax free. A gratuity will also be payable at the end of the
renewable contract. Teachers also benefit from an excellent accommodation allowance, health
insurance, an annual flight allowance and a contribution to relocation expenses.

REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Accounting to join our well-resourced
and thriving faculty.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be expected to teach Accounting at A Level. We currently offer the AQA
Accounting A Level. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the teaching of
Economics at either IGCSE or A Level or IB or alternatively Business at IGCSE or A Level is also a
possibility.

The Business Faculty currently has 7 teachers, some of which specialise in one subject whilst others
teach a combination of Business, Economics and Accounting. All of the members of the faculty are
expected to contribute to the existing resources and to the development of the subjects throughout the
senior school. The Business Faculty enjoys a large number of dedicated classrooms and significant
access to ICT facilities. Furthermore, the students come to class equipped with devices. As a result,
confidence and experience in using technology in learning will be an advantage.
