The school will begin as a Pre-Kindergarten and Primary School, and eventually grow to serve 2,000 students through high school. HT Nanjing seeks teachers for their founding school team. Ideal candidates will be:

Key Responsibilities of HT Nanjing teachers include:
Teaching and Learning
Plan, prepare, and deliver schemes of work in accordance with the academic programs set out by the school, which facilitate active learning experiences for all children;
Assess and maintain records of students’ progress in learning, using this information to ensure that each child has the opportunity to succeed;
Manage the classroom environment so that it is a stimulating, well-resourced and orderly space which supports and encourages learning;
Use all relevant technology to support learning, understanding and development;
Provide meaningful feedback and assessment for learning in line with the school’s policies;
Ensure school policy standards are met and followed, which include behavior, teaching, learning, and safety.
Communication and Cooperation
Working cooperatively and supportively with co-teachers and all members of staff;
Developing supportive and productive relationships with parents;
Participating in departmental, school-wide and parent/community meetings;
Sharing assessment data and ensuring it is leveraged to guide instruction;
Preparing summaries of student progress as needed;
Participating in the extra-curricular life of the school;
Supporting the school’s image and profile in the community.
In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the ideal teaching candidate will have:
Two or more years of teaching experience in an international school and/or one that leverages best-in-class, innovative instructional practices;
Experience working with children who are English Language Learners, especially with experience around literacy development and language acquisition strategies;
Excellent working knowledge of primary/elementary school curriculum;
Breadth of subject knowledge across multiple subject areas;
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required;
PGCE/QTS or equivalent.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position offers a competitive salary range of $29,484 to $62,387 and robust benefits including:
