Head of Inclusion – Cairo, Egypt – ASAP Start

A leading international school in Cairo, Egypt is seeking an experienced and committed Head of Inclusion for an ASAP start.

This is an important senior position for an experienced inclusion leader who is passionate about ensuring that every student receives the support, challenge and opportunities they need to succeed.

The Role

The Head of Inclusion will lead the school's approach to SEND, additional learning needs and inclusive education, working closely with teachers, school leaders, students and families.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality inclusive practice across the school, ensuring that individual needs are identified effectively and that appropriate strategies are put in place to support both academic progress and student wellbeing.

A key part of the role will be working alongside classroom teachers to ensure that inclusion is embedded within everyday teaching rather than treated as a separate provision.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic leadership for inclusion and additional learning needs
• Identifying and supporting students with SEND and other learning needs
• Developing and monitoring individual support and intervention strategies
• Supporting teachers with differentiation and inclusive classroom practice
• Using assessment and student data to evaluate progress and provision
• Working closely with parents and external specialists where appropriate
• Leading and developing members of the learning support team
• Contributing to safeguarding, wellbeing and whole-school improvement
   

The Person

We are looking for an experienced educator with a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive education and the ability to lead provision across an international school.

Applicants should have a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent, together with a relevant degree.

Previous experience as a Head of Inclusion, SENCO, SENDCo, Head of Learning Support or similar would be highly desirable. Candidates should be confident supporting teachers, managing individual student needs and building effective relationships with families.

A recognised SEND/SENCO qualification or further specialist training would be advantageous.
