Job Summary
Full-time teaching positions. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified, who will then have to sit for an interview and teach a 60-minute actual in-classroom lesson. Priority will be given to teachers who are already in Malaysia.

Details of Position
Premium Language Centre is one of the oldest language schools in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are the only centre accredited to offer MUET (Malaysian University English Test), which is an alternative to the IELTS test for students who are planning to join Malaysian universities but do not want to do IELTS. In line with our rapid expansion and increasing number of students, we would like to invite all certified EFL/ESL teachers to apply for the position of Full-Time English Language Teachers as per the below:

Job Description:
To plan, prepare and teach lessons to various levels/students of different backgrounds.
To be willing to plan and prepare every lesson using PowerPoint slides. Students are not allowed to use their books in the class and everything has to be changed into communicative activities, games and pair/group work (this can be a lot of work for new teachers. Please consider this carefully. We DO NOT allow straight teaching from the textbook).
To teach a standard number of 5 contact hours/day - 25 contact hours/week.
To administer, mark and upload test scores to our LMS.
To check, maintain and upload student records (including daily attendance) to our LMS on a daily basis.
To monitor students academic progress, follow up and give academic advice when needed.
To report to senior management on all issues related to academics.
To participate in school events and marketing activities when required.
To work either at our main premise or off-campus/customer premise as and when needed without receiving extra pay (transportation cost would be paid separately but no extra payment on top of the usual salary would be entertained).

Minimum qualifications:
A bachelor's Degree (preferably TESL/TEFL/English language/Linguistics/English literature related) visa requirements.
A CELTA/Trinity certificate or their equivalent (no online TEFL/TESL qualifications). We are mostly interested in CELTA candidates who are willing to teach CELTA style.

Experience:
Post-CELTA experience is preferred but not mandatory as there will be an initial one-week orientation period during which successful candidates will receive extensive training, and have the chance to familiarize themselves with our approach and teaching style.
Work experience with Arab/Asian/Central Asian students is a plus.
Experience in teaching exam preparation and ESP classes is a plus.
Experience in teaching YL classes is a plus.
Ability to work with/utilize technology is a must. The successful candidate must be a competent user of MS Office applications, namely MS Word & PowerPoint.

Salary and Benefits
Salary range is between 5,000 to 6,000RM/month depending on qualifications (please note that the tax deductions for the first 180 days are 26%, however, this is adjusted and reimbursed at the end of the year but not before. Kindly be aware of this.
A fully paid, one-week orientation/training period prior to actual teaching.
Work permit sponsorship for candidates who successfully pass the initial three-month probation period (those who meet our requirements within the first month might be confirmed after the first month i.e. the work permit will be processed immediately after the first month).
