High School Drama Teacher – Singapore

A prestigious international school in Singapore is seeking an outstanding High School Drama Teacher to join its thriving Performing Arts department. The successful candidate will teach Drama across the secondary age range and will ideally have experience of the International Baccalaureate (IB MYP and/or IB Diploma Programme), Advanced Placement (AP), BTEC or other internationally recognised curricula.

About the Role

As a High School Drama Teacher you will:

• Deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons to secondary students.
• Plan innovative schemes of work and differentiated lessons that support all learners.
• Inspire students through practical performance, theatre studies and creative expression.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress using a variety of assessment strategies.
• Provide constructive feedback to maximise student achievement.
• Support students' academic, social and emotional development through pastoral responsibilities.
• Contribute to school productions, performances, clubs and extra-curricular activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practice.
• Foster an inclusive, positive and student-centred classroom environment.
• Embrace educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
   

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification with QTS, PGCE or equivalent.
• At least three years' experience teaching Drama in a secondary or international school.
• Experience teaching IB MYP, IB Diploma, AP or similar international curricula (preferred).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for Performing Arts and student development.
• The ability to contribute to wider school life through productions, enrichment activities and pastoral care.
