Our client, a leading British international school in Singapore, is seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Film for an August 2026 start.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and creative educator to lead a thriving Film department within one of Asia’s most respected international schools, renowned for academic excellence, innovation, and outstanding student outcomes.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Lead and develop the Film department across Secondary / Sixth Form
• Teach Film Studies and related Media subjects to examination level
• Inspire students through innovative and engaging classroom practice
• Drive curriculum development and departmental strategy
• Mentor and support teaching staff within the department
• Contribute to wider school life through enrichment and extracurricular programmes

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Experience teaching Film Studies / Media Studies within the British curriculum
• Previous middle leadership or departmental leadership experience
• A proven track record of strong academic outcomes
• The ability to inspire and lead both students and colleagues
• International school experience (preferred but not essential)
