Year 4 Teacher – Doha, Qatar – January 2027 or Earlier

A British international school in Doha, Qatar is looking to appoint a Year 4 Teacher for January 2027, with an earlier start available for a suitable candidate.

The school follows the National Curriculum for England and offers a thematic approach to learning across Key Stage 2. The position would suit an experienced primary teacher who enjoys developing children's independence while maintaining strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.

The Position

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 4 class, teaching across the primary curriculum and preparing pupils for the increasing academic demands of Upper Key Stage 2.

The school uses established teaching approaches including Talk for Writing and Mastery Maths, alongside cross-curricular learning that encourages children to make connections between subjects.

You should be confident developing pupils' reading comprehension, extended writing, multiplication, fractions and mathematical reasoning, while adapting lessons to meet different learning needs.

Candidate Requirements

• A relevant degree and recognised primary teaching qualification, ideally PGCE with QTS or B.Ed
• Experience teaching the English National Curriculum
• Strong primary classroom teaching experience, ideally in Year 3 or Year 4
• Excellent literacy and numeracy teaching skills
• Effective assessment, differentiation and classroom management
• A willingness to contribute to wider primary school activities

Experience with Talk for Writing or mastery-based Maths teaching would be advantageous.

Start date: January 2027, or earlier by agreement.
