Physics Teacher – Doha, Qatar – January 2027

A growing British international school in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Physics Teacher for a January 2027 start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physics specialist with experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE and A Level who would like to join a developing secondary and Sixth Form provision.

Physics Teacher

The successful candidate will teach Physics across the secondary age range, including students preparing for external examinations at GCSE/IGCSE and A Level.

The school is looking for a teacher who can make challenging Physics concepts accessible while maintaining high academic expectations. Lessons should develop students' understanding through a combination of theory, mathematical application, problem-solving and practical investigation.

At examination level, you will be responsible for preparing students effectively for external assessments while developing the independent scientific thinking required for advanced study.

As the school's Sixth Form provision continues to develop, the successful teacher will also have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of post-16 Physics.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have:

• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent
• A relevant Physics or Science degree
• Strong secondary Physics teaching experience
• Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE Physics
• The ability to teach A-Level Physics
• Excellent Physics subject knowledge
• Confidence delivering practical and laboratory-based lessons
• Strong examination preparation and assessment skills
• Excellent classroom management and communication
• Previous experience within a British international school would be advantageous, although experienced UK-based Physics teachers looking to move overseas are also encouraged to apply.
