About the Role

As School Librarian, you will manage and develop the school library as a central hub for learning, literacy, and research. You will work closely with students and staff across all key stages to promote a love of reading and support academic success through effective information management.

This role involves overseeing library resources, supporting curriculum delivery, and encouraging independent learning in a modern, well-resourced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the school library
• Promote reading for pleasure and academic literacy across the school
• Support students with research skills and information literacy
• Maintain and develop library resources (print and digital)
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery
• Organise library events, reading programmes, and literacy initiatives
• Ensure the library is a welcoming and inclusive learning space
   

Requirements

• Degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a related field
• Previous experience working as a school librarian or in an educational setting
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Knowledge of library management systems and digital resources
• Passion for literacy, reading, and student learning
• Experience in an international school setting is advantageous
