Primary Homeroom Teacher – Dubai, UAE – Immediate Start

A well-established international school in Dubai is looking for a qualified Primary Homeroom Teacher to join its team for an immediate start.

The position would suit an experienced primary teacher who enjoys taking responsibility for the academic and pastoral development of a class and is confident teaching across the core primary curriculum.

The Role

As a Homeroom Teacher, you will play a central role in your students' school experience, creating a positive classroom environment where children feel supported, challenged and confident in their learning.

The school follows an American curriculum, with teaching designed to develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum knowledge alongside communication, collaboration and independent thinking.

You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, monitor individual student progress and adapt your teaching to meet a range of academic and language needs.

Given the international nature of the school, teachers should be particularly confident working with children from different cultural, linguistic and educational backgrounds.

We're Looking For

Applicants should have a recognised primary teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent, together with a relevant degree where required.

You should have:

• Successful Primary/Elementary teaching experience
• Experience working as a Homeroom or class teacher
• Strong literacy and numeracy teaching skills
• Effective differentiation and assessment practice
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• A warm, organised and child-centred approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and parents

Previous experience with an American, IB or international curriculum would be advantageous, but teachers from other recognised curriculum backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
