MFL Teacher – French or Spanish – Doha, Qatar – Immediate Start

A growing British international school in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Modern Foreign Languages Teacher specialising in either French or Spanish for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stage 3, IGCSE and A Level, making this an excellent opportunity for an MFL specialist who enjoys working with students from the early stages of secondary language learning through to advanced study.

French or Spanish

Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified teachers specialising in either French or Spanish.

At Key Stage 3, the focus will be on developing students' confidence and enthusiasm for language learning, building strong foundations across speaking, listening, reading and writing.

As students progress, the role becomes increasingly examination-focused. The successful teacher will prepare pupils for IGCSE and teach language at A Level, helping older students develop greater fluency, accuracy and sophistication in their communication.

An ability to bring the culture, history and contemporary life of French- or Spanish-speaking countries into lessons will also be valuable.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent, alongside a relevant degree.

You should have:

• Strong French or Spanish subject knowledge
• Experience teaching MFL at Key Stage 3
• Experience preparing students for GCSE/IGCSE
• The ability to teach French or Spanish to A Level
• Strong examination preparation and assessment skills
• An engaging approach that encourages students to communicate confidently in the target language
• Effective differentiation and classroom management

Previous experience within a British or international school would be advantageous, although applications are also welcomed from strong UK-based teachers looking to move overseas.

Immediate Start in Qatar

This is an immediate-start position, so teachers who are already available or able to relocate to Doha at short notice are particularly encouraged to apply.
