Maths Teacher – Dubai, UAE – January 2027

A leading British international school in Dubai is looking to appoint an experienced Maths Teacher for a January 2027 start.

The school follows the National Curriculum for England and is looking for a confident Mathematics specialist who can combine strong subject knowledge with engaging teaching and high academic expectations.

The Position

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across the secondary age range, including students working towards GCSE examinations.

Lessons should develop more than procedural knowledge. Students are encouraged to become confident mathematical thinkers who can reason, solve unfamiliar problems, identify patterns and explain their methods clearly.

The school has an established senior and post-16 provision, so experience teaching Mathematics beyond GCSE would be particularly valuable.

You will be expected to monitor progress carefully, use assessment to identify gaps in understanding and provide appropriate support and challenge for students with different levels of mathematical ability.

Who We're Looking For

Applicants should hold a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent, together with a relevant degree.

Ideally, you will have:

• Strong secondary Mathematics teaching experience
• Experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE Maths
• Excellent mathematical subject knowledge
• Strong examination preparation and assessment skills
• The ability to differentiate effectively
• A track record of maintaining high academic expectations
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Experience teaching A-Level, IB or another post-16 Mathematics programme would be an advantage.

Joining in January

The position starts in January 2027, offering teachers currently working in the UK or overseas the opportunity to join an established British international school midway through the academic year.

The school provides a broad academic and extracurricular programme and serves a highly international student community, so teachers should be comfortable adapting their approach to students from different educational and cultural backgrounds.
