IGCSE & AS Level Biology Teacher – Doha, Qatar – October 2026

An established international school in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Biology Teacher to join its secondary Science department from October 2026.

This vacancy would particularly suit a Biology specialist who has experience teaching students through IGCSE and AS Level and is confident preparing pupils for external examinations.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Biology across the secondary age range, including examination classes at IGCSE and AS Level.

The school is looking for a teacher who can make Biology engaging and accessible while maintaining strong academic expectations. Alongside secure subject knowledge, you should be comfortable developing students' practical, investigative and analytical skills and helping them apply scientific concepts confidently in examination settings.

You will be expected to monitor student progress closely, use assessment effectively and adapt lessons for students with different abilities and educational backgrounds.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent, together with a relevant Biology or Science degree.

Ideally, you will have:

• Strong secondary Biology teaching experience
• Experience teaching IGCSE Biology
• Experience teaching AS Level Biology
• Good knowledge of examination requirements and assessment
• Confidence delivering practical Biology
• Strong differentiation and classroom management skills
• The ability to support students while maintaining high academic expectations

Experience teaching within an international school would be advantageous, but is not essential for a strong candidate with relevant UK or equivalent curriculum experience.

October Start in Qatar
