Position Available: Science / Physics Teacher (Upper School - MYP & DP)

Responsibilities:
Teaching Excellence:
- Design and execute engaging lessons aligned with our Teaching and Learning Policy.
- Create a conducive learning environment that promotes outstanding practice.
- Tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners, including SEN, EAL, and G&T students.
- Implement effective assessment techniques and utilize performance data for differentiated instruction.
- Integrate technology to enhance learning and progress.
- Classroom Management:
- Uphold discipline in line with our 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and promote positive practices in punctuality, behavior, and academic standards.
Assessment and Progress Tracking:
- Evaluate learning objectives, providing constructive feedback to enhance teaching strategies.
- Regularly assess and record student progress, utilizing data to inform planning and support student learning.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for parents and actively participate in parent-student events.
Curriculum Development:
- Contribute to IB/subject development by creating innovative curriculum plans and updating units of work.
- Stay updated with the latest subject knowledge through professional development and ongoing learning.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Act as a DP Extended Essay Supervisor / MYP Personal Project Supervisor / PYP Exhibition Supervisor, if required.
- Fulfill duties as an Advisor for Upper School, contributing to the Moral Education program.
- Collaborate within the staff duty roster, providing coverage for absent colleagues.
- Facilitate examinations and assessments as needed.
- Engage in relevant training and professional development activities.
- Support school events and the ECA program.
- Foster collaboration and support among stakeholders.
- Demonstrate consistent professionalism and high standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong commitment and enthusiasm for IB education and teaching.
- Extensive experience in Science education, preferably with IB MYP Science and DP Physics teaching experience.
- Leadership experience is advantageous.
