Head of Science Department

A British International School in Central Dubai seek a UK trained secondary teacher of Science to lead their Science department from August 2024. The school welcomes applications from all disciplines of Science either Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Head of department experience is desirable although not essential, the school will consider a strong 2IC looking to step up to department head. 

The position is at a British International School in Central Dubai. Located 15 mins from Downtown Dubai and Jumeirah Beach the school accommodation is in a prime location enabling you to enjoy all Dubai has to offer socially as well as being a short commute to the school premises.

Person Specification

• United Kingdom Teacher Trained
• Five years continuous teaching experience post qualifying as a teacher
• UK QTS
• PGCE or B.Ed or similar route to QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Have experience teaching KS4 & 5, GCSE & A Level Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics)
• Have the desire and be willing to contribute to the schools vision and extra curricular activities.
