About the Role

As Head of Business & Economics, you will lead a successful department while teaching Economics across secondary level, including IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme (DP). You will play a key role in developing curriculum, raising attainment, and ensuring high-quality teaching across both Business and Economics subjects.

This role is ideal for an ambitious teacher with leadership experience who is looking to make a significant impact in an international school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Business & Economics department
• Teach Economics across Key Stages 4–5 (IGCSE & IB DP)
• Support delivery of Business Studies within the department
• Develop and implement schemes of work aligned with international curricula
• Monitor student progress and drive academic achievement
• Mentor and support teaching staff within the department
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and academic strategy
   

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Degree in Economics, Business, or a related field
• Proven experience teaching Economics at secondary level
• Experience with IGCSE and/or IB Diploma Programme essential
• Previous leadership or departmental responsibility preferred
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire students
• Commitment to international education and student success
