English Teacher – Dubai, UAE – Immediate Start

An established international school in Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic and accomplished English Teacher for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified secondary English teacher to join a highly international school offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and a learning environment that places strong emphasis on critical thinking, communication and independent learning.

The Role

The successful candidate will join the school's secondary English department, delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons and helping students become confident readers, writers, speakers and critical thinkers.

English is taught within an inquiry-led and concept-driven curriculum, encouraging students to look beyond simple comprehension and explore how language, literature and context shape meaning.

The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire a genuine interest in literature and language while maintaining high academic expectations. Lessons should encourage discussion, analytical thinking, creativity and confident written and verbal communication.

Who Are We Looking For?

Applicants should have:

• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent
• A relevant degree
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
• The ability to relocate and begin work in Dubai at short notice

Previous experience teaching the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) or Diploma Programme (DP) would be advantageous. Strong English teachers from the British curriculum or another recognised international curriculum are also encouraged to apply.
