Economics Teacher – Dubai, UAE – Immediate Start

An established and highly international school in Dubai is seeking an experienced Economics Teacher to join its secondary teaching team for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Economics specialist with IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or A-Level experience who enjoys teaching within a diverse international environment and can combine strong academic expectations with an inclusive approach to learning.

Teaching Economics at Senior Level

Economics forms part of the school's senior secondary curriculum, where students follow challenging academic pathways designed to prepare them for leading universities around the world.

The successful candidate will be expected to bring Economics to life by connecting economic theory with contemporary issues and real-world events. Students should be encouraged to analyse evidence, evaluate competing arguments and develop the independent thinking and academic writing skills required for success at senior secondary level.

Experience teaching IBDP Economics would be particularly valuable. The school will also consider accomplished A-Level Economics teachers with the subject knowledge and teaching experience required to transition successfully into an IB environment.

The school is looking for a teacher who can maintain academic challenge while adapting teaching effectively for individual learners. What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS, B.Ed or equivalent, alongside a relevant degree.

You should also be able to demonstrate:

• Successful experience teaching Economics at secondary level
• Experience of IBDP Economics and/or A-Level Economics
• Strong Economics subject knowledge
• Effective differentiation and inclusive teaching practice
• Confidence preparing students for external examinations
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively within a diverse international school community

Previous IB experience is highly desirable but is not essential for an excellent A-Level Economics practitioner.

Candidates should be available to relocate to Dubai at short notice.
