The role

You’ll join a forward-thinking team to deliver engaging, rigorous Computer Science across upper primary/secondary (exact timetable aligned to your strengths). You’ll design learning that blends strong fundamentals with future-ready skills—think algorithms, programming, data science, cybersecurity, robotics/AI, and creative computing—using modern pedagogy and outstanding facilities.

Computer Science Teacher Responsibilities

• Planning and teaching high-impact lessons that stretch and support every learner
• Leading practical projects (e.g., coding challenges, hackathons, robotics/AI, app development)
• Using assessment intelligently to drive progress and close gaps
• Contributing to curriculum development and co-curricular clubs (esports, coding, makerspace, etc.)
• Building strong partnerships with parents and colleagues in a warm, ambitious culture

Computer Science Teacher Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science (or closely related field)
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS or equivalent)
• Successful experience teaching at KS3–KS5 and/or IGCSE/A-Level/IB (or similar)
• Confident use of edtech and a track record of innovative, practical learning
• A growth mindset, excellent classroom climate, and strong safeguarding practice

Desirable

• Experience guiding exam cohorts to excellent outcomes
• Background in one or more of: Python/Java/JavaScript, data science/ML, cybersecurity, physical computing/robotics, UX/app dev, or competitive programming
• Willingness to lead clubs, competitions, and community tech events
