The teaching post is considered full time although you will be teaching 21 hours.
You will be teaching different students ranging from young learners (6 years old) to teenagers. As we are an Official Cambridge Preparation Centre, you will also be trained to teach B1 students.
You will have a lovely timetable where all classes are on-site and in the afternoon. Monday to Thursday 16.00-20.45 and Fridays are just two hours. There may be morning hours available should the teacher request this.
We try to group the classes together so you will have less planning to do.
There are paid bi-weekly seminars and assistance is given should you wish to go to external training seminars.
There is an option for assistance towards doing a DELTA or any other course that is deemed useful in a tefl setting. This is subject to conditions.
For 21-25 teaching hours you will receive between 1300-1600 euros gross a month based on hours taught and teaching experience an qualifications.
Your holidays will be paid in accordance with Spanish law. 2 weeks at Christmas and a week at Easter. You will also be paid for national and local holidays.
You will be paid for attending seminars which are twice a month.
You will receive a settling in allowance of 150 euros which will be reimbursed at Easter. This can go towards flight, accommodation or food. All receipts will be required.
Assistance is given towards obtaining your Spanish NIE number should you need it and any other work-related paper work.
Must have a Cambridge CELTA or a TRINITY TESOL certificate.
Must have a high level of English ability in all areas (Speaking, writing, reading and listening) and at least a C2 level of English.
Must have the right to work and live in Spain. (EU passport or the right to reside in Spain)
Teaching experience at least one year
