Development of strategic plans for SEN Provision at Government Level
Research and review current best practices across SEN programmes and interventions.
Building strategic relationships with local and international entities including accreditation bodies.
Develop plans and policies for mainstream inclusion.
Develop and review required qualifications and policies for SEN staff.
Identify accredited qualification and programs for SEN staff. (e.g. SENCO, TAs, etc.).
Review professional developments programs related to SEN across schools.
Working with schools on policy development, inclusion and transition planning and implementation of SEN initiatives and strategies.
Oversee and review health and education assessments/reports for students’ placement.
Conduct monitoring schools’ visits.
Transfer knowledge and build internal and external capacity.
Contribute to the research community through conferences and publications.
Facilitate networking groups. (e.g. SENCO group, SALTS, Councillors, etc.)
Prepare requested reports and presentations.
Demonstrate project management and budgeting skills
Demonstrate advanced proficiencies in presentation and communication skills.
Qualifications and experience
Teaching and leadership experience in SEN
Working in government entities
Working in research organizations
Inspection/ accreditation experience
