London is the capital City of England and the United Kingdom, steeped in history going back to its founding by the Roman empire. A leading global city with many strengths in a variety of industries including Finance, The Arts, Entertainment and Fashion which has led London to be described as a world cultural capital.
In Education terms London is a world leader boasting the highest concentration of Universities in Europe. London currently has a population of over 8 million people and as a result boasts over 700 secondary schools and 4000 primary schools. It is compulsory for children of up to remain in full time education up to 16 years old. As a result London has a constant shortage and need for qualified teachers both British and Overseas trained.
